this game is so fun i just wish i had infinite mode but besides that i can tell you this game is so good first because of its vfx and ui that feel so smooth and vibrant also the sounds and gameplay are so polished never give up keep uploading games
Sorry for making a separate comment but I thought it's a good idea to have a new comment since I want to share a guide (and some tips) from my own experience playing the game.
First comes the guide. This is my go to strat to win any kind of run with any challenge modifier:
(My) Easy Winning Strat
Set Up:
I personally use Aelin the Elf with Jeweler's Sign, but this strategy should work with any smith & forge sign combo exceptMiser's Sign. Reason why is mostly because you'll won't have anything to fall back on in case of a break, which might happen early on.
For your master tree, you want to go down primarily the hammer, furnace, and trade route. From all of those I suggest Starting Capital, Wholesaler, Crucible, and Warm-Up. If you have extra shards, buy some Second Chance from the luck branch as well as Bellows, Perfect Streak, Appraiser's Eye, and Charm Maker.
Once you can buy the most powerful upgrade, I suggest either getting Eternal Flame or Master's Hand, depending on how well you can hit skill checks (if you have trouble hitting great checks, go for the former, otherwise, the latter is better)
The Run:
You should first start the day to see if you could buy the lucky rabbit charm, if you can't, start upgrading your weapon with as high of an upgrade you're willing to go (I'd go with +10 or +6). make sure to use blessed scroll so you get 2 chances in one, which significantly increase your chance of hitting a good hit. Warm Up is really good here since it guarantees you a perfect 3 great skill check which reduce the chance of your weapon breaking (if you have Master's Hand, it guarantees you the weapon will not break, which is very nice). 1 good hit is all you need to get started, once you get it +10 or above, you can sell it for a decent amount of profit. (if you're willing to risk it a bit, you could go for +20 immediately. this gives you even more leeway since the difference between +10 and +20 is quite significant)
Use that money to buy some more weapons (iron are preferred) and start reforge them to rare or higher rarity (if you can). Then start doing +10 upgrades until you get +15 or +20. The amount of profit you get from a rare iron +15/20 is quite significant already, giving you a ton of leeway.
During this time, try to get lucky clover & rabbit foot charm combo. The reason why is because it's probably (at least in my opinion) the most powerful combo in the game. It negates 2 breaks every day, turning them into -1 instead. This is very powerful because it lets you do high risk upgrades without worry about breaking, and since it resets every day, you get a total of 30 break negation throughout a 5 week run (with Eternal Flame upgrade, that bumps up to 45 breaks negation, very broken... or not broken because it negates break?).
Anyway, once you get the charm combo, you can pretty much just repeat the process of buying weapons with the best material, reforge them to rare or higher rarity, and upgrading them to +20 before selling them. You could do request but I find the profit from regular sale is enough to cover everything you need. While you're doing this, try to get some other combo like diamond dust & opal of fate combo or potion of currage & scorpion claw, which essentially triple your chance of reforging your weapon to rarer rarity & makes hitting +10 upgrades easier respectively.
It's important to note that if you do play to reforge the weapon, do it at the very start before you start upgrading. If you're using this strat, you'll be reforging significantly more than upgrading. in fact, if you're good & lucky enough, each weapon would only need to be upgraded twice whereas reforge could take 10 or more attempts to get epic, legendary, and mythic rarity. (could be up to 200+ attempt if you don't have the right upgrades and set up, so not ideal)
My Best Attempt:
The current best attempt I had using this strat (with a fully upgraded tree and workshop) had me end the 5th week with 800m+ in my wallet. (I think it was about 847m? But I don't remember). The number was so large that the game bug out a bit and only showed 87-something m, but once I sold a weapon it correctly show the right number (reason for the visual bug is probably because of a combination of the readable version of the font + the unexpected high number). I did this by only buying the weapon made from the rarest material, reforge them all to mythic (with the 1.5x sale multiplier attribute), and upgrade them to +20 before selling them. The divine weapon I think sold for like... 60-80m a piece, so that was quite profitable.
Now, on to some tips. First, I want to say that 100% this game is going to be a hard one, specifically because there is 1 achievement that takes a lot of dedication & luck to get: "Boxcars". not only do you have a 1 in 36 chance of rolling double sixes, but it's on a morning event that doesn't always appear every day. In a 5 week run, you'll probably get 0-2 dice rolling event. As of writing this, I've done 32 runs and I still haven't gotten it once. (in fact, my opponent got it first before me, lucky bastard...)
Double Six Gambler
So good luck to anyone who wants to 100% the game. This is the only thing I don't really have a guide to get, you just have to keep doing runs until you get it. I do suggest running on the lowest difficulty though so that you don't have to worry to much about rent and can focus completely on getting morning event.
Second, completing the story. During your run, you'll be tasked with forging a "difficult" weapon and submitting it before the deadline set at a certain end of the week. Each run, the request require different weapons to be submitted, and sometimes you can't get the right weapon made from the right material. If you're having trouble getting the right weapons, I suggest you cheese it a bit and do a run with the bow only modifier on. This makes the request guaranteed to be a bow request, and with the market only selling bows, it's very easy to get the right materials for the requirement.
Third, It's not really a requirement, but if you want to have your Book of Blade look something like this:
Satisfying Book
Then there's a few things to keep in mind. No.1 , getting a specific unique weapon once you bought it off from the dark merchant is very time consuming, so don't buy any of them unless you're confident you can get them to +20 in that run. (for reference, I did 20+ run trying to get Fortune's Edge as that's the last weapon I haven't +20 yet. I got multiple other unique weapons before I get Fortune's Edge, it wasn't fun)
No.2 , for the common weapons, you should know that the rarity and number of reinforcement are separately tracked. this means that you can have a +20 common weapon and a +0 mythic weapon and it would track them as +20 mythic in the book, that means you don't have to fulfill both condition for it to record in the book. To get mythic as easy as possible, fully upgrade Appraiser's Eye, get diamond dust & opal of fate combo, and use Jeweler's Sign. with all the multiplier together, you should have a 2.8% chance to get a mythic, or about 1/36 attempts.
Man, this game is a rollercoaster when I first saw it. I thought this would be a minigame filled tycoon-like game, so I was excited, then it show itself as a roguelike with tons of mechanic, which made me confused and half-gave up, then I give it another try and I got extremely lucky early on and sold a weapon for like... 10k+ gold on the 1st week, 100k+ gold on 2nd, and 1m+ on 3rd & 4th. once I have excess cash it became a lot more fun gambling the chances away.
If I were to say one bad thing is that the smiting minigame feels very unfair. You can't tell how fast the initial speed of the spinner is so you won't know (unless you played enough) on just how fast it will spin. I know it's tied to the upgrade target and (I believe) the current upgrade number of the weapon, but not knowing how fast it will go is super annoying. is it possible (or if you're willing to change it) so that there's a "ghost arrow" of some kind that's spins once around the skill check so that you know how fast it goes? or alternatively, add a training mode where you could train yourself on the different speed of the skill check without worry of failure? That way at least it's much more forgiving when we try out going for the max upgrade target (because at that point I feel like only someone who played this game for hours and hours would be able to get that skill check)
I'm having a lot of fun, I hated it at first because I thought it was too luck based but I found that it's not that bad, especially once I got some permanent upgrades. However, I do found another thing I want to point out... the reforge mechanic, specifically the comparison part of reforge and the mythic rarity.
First the comparison, I like how you can now, after buying the upgrade, decide whether to keep your old or change to new attribute. What I don't like is how you compare them. You have to pay really close attention to the %s of the attribute because it immediately jumps back to the old attribute. I get that in the long run, getting good attribute that will pay more is better, but I sometimes what the smithing-related attribute like reduced break chance, and accidentally missing it because I wasn't paying attention is annoying. I would love it if you could actually compare the attribute side-by-side so that you don't need to go off memory to decide whether to keep or not.
The 2nd is the time it takes to get mythic rarity. If I have enough cash, it's not a matter of gambling anymore, it's just a matter of time, and it takes way too long to try to get mythic rarity. I almost don't want to get it not because of the low chances, but because it's just so boring waiting for the animation to play and to reforge again. is it possible to change it so that the animation speeds up or something? or maybe have a quick forge where you can decide like "reforge this up to 100 times OR until it becomes mythic rarity" and have it finish reforging until the conditions are met? you could even add conditions like "get this attribute" if you want specific attribute.
Edit: Unrelated to the points I mentioned above, could you also explain what it means by "the market is 25% dearer"? on the Sign of the Hearth description? At first I thought it meant as "25% cheaper" but since every other signs suggest an upside and a downside, it sounds off. then I thought maybe it's more expensive, but then why specifically the word "dearer"? maybe it means 25% less likely to find higher rarity item? I don't know...

For the no hammer challenge, I think the locked text should state that's the challenge.
Also I know 900k debt is for narrative purposes, but I can get that in a run.
(Just wanted to flex here.)

Oh). Yeah it shoud mean 25% cheaper, I will recheck for that kinds of typo. Your feedback is noted🫡
